Nippotica – a Tokyo-based deeptech venture builder
We identify technologies ready to cross from research into production, build companies around them, and take them to market.
We turn advanced research into practical solutions for industry.
Our network spans leading research institutions in Japan, Europe, Americas, and Singapore. Our clients are major Japanese manufacturers and multinationals integrating transformative technology into their operations.
How Nippotica Builds
We follow a structured model: identify a promising technology, validate it through real market deployment, and develop it into a standalone business — typically within three to five years. Each business unit owns its domain, its products, and its clients.
Today that means two units: Nippofin, building synthetic data and market signal products for quantitative finance and insurance; and Algotechniq, building Physical AI systems for industrial and infrastructure applications on Nvidia platforms.
The Team
Our founders have built and exited companies across derivatives trading, risk analytics, wireless communications, semiconductors, and industrial AI. They’ve run desks at JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, and BlackRock; led engineering teams at NEC, Ericsson, and Alcatel-Lucent; and founded ventures acquired by Texas Instruments and Microchip Technology. They know how to build — and how to sell.
